This forum has been closed to new registrations and posts,  Cry due to the addition of the new Kunena forum and Jomsocial community, however it will remain in place for the foreseeable future because it's a very useful repository of snippets and information.

To access the new Community pages, please visit

http://www.jomres.net/component/option,com_kunena/Itemid,284/

I would have liked to import the old users and forum posts into the new forum, however that's not practical so I'm afraid users will need to re-register to post on the new forum.

Updated one of my Jomres localhost installations to v4.5.7. Only issue I noticed so far has been mentioned by safe77 in another thread already. If a customer clicks on "Book Now" for an SRP, the 'Arrival Date' shows today's date and 'Departure Date shows the today's date plus 'Arr-Dep minimum' interval. Looks like the 'Days before Arrival' are currently ignored. One has to select an 'Arrival Date' manually before 'Review booking' and an Accomodation Total shows up on the screen.

Greetings

Those features are available in Jomres Developer, but not Jomres Lite.

You can set the max number of properties in jomres backend->site configuration->search options tab and here you have to set "Random search limit" to a higher value.

Ha! Thanks...

Next time, matey, next time....;-)

Glad you like it. Just be careful about exploring too much, it gets addictive, that Jomres thingy.

If you've to any patience, you've probably searched the Jomres.net forums to find out if Jomres supports tours. The search would turn up a number of discussions on what tours are, if they should be part of a normal hotel booking etc.

As a consequence of some of those discussions I wrote a plugin called Jintour, which allows a property manager to create resource profiles (called Tours within jintour) which allow you to create a resource that can be made available between two dates and have a certain number of spaces for adults and kids, and individual prices for each.

This could only be booked within the wider context of a hotel booking, so it was ideal for something like letting guests book dinner in a restaurant, tickets for a bus trip to the zoo, that sort of thing. Items that could be included as part of a hotel booking.

Since then I've been considering the best way to also allow tour bookings that aren't part of a hotel's booking. This has lead me to extend Jintour considerably. The general idea is that property managers will create new properties that are Tour specific. In other words the property will not use the room booking functionality, instead it can use the existing Jintour functionality, bookings will use the existing booking engine but room checking etc is excluded.

Jomres itself requires a number of changes to support non-room based bookings, so to use v2 of Jintour you'll need Jomres v4.5.7 or later. Existing Jintour users will find the download in the download area of their Jintour purchase on http://license-server.jomres.net.

The current v2 of Jintour should be considered Beta, in other words it's not expected to be fit to be used on a live server. Please only use it on a test server. All feedback is welcome.
