Title: Call to API cmf/channel/announce/jomres2jomres/Jomres+2+Jomres
Post by: radleyominguez on October 08, 2021, 11:47:28 PM
I just installed Jomres Quickstart Wordpress Portal , and after installing these plugins, Api Feature Cmf, Channelmanagement Framework, Channelmanagement Jomres2jomres, and Channelmanagement Rentalsunited, I got this error:

 Error
Call to API cmf/channel/announce/jomres2jomres/Jomres+2+Jomres resulted in response code 500 and message
Error 500 - Internal Server Error
An error was encountered while processing your request. Typically this is a temporary condition. Please contact the web site owner for further assistance.

How do I fix this?

In the Jomres plugin manager there's a message to say "Do not install the CMF plugins until you've visited the REST API test page to confirm that your configuration can perform REST API activities" (or, words to that effect).

Did you visit the REST API test  page first? If  you did, did it give you any recommendations?

Thanks! I see it now.

I deleted those plugins and ran the REST API test page.

message: The test failed, look in the Response field, if it looks like a lot of html, or you received a 404 message, then your server is redirecting calls to another url. This will prevent you from receiving API calls.

I need to find out where the other url is pointing to for the API calls to work.

I looked around and found that this file, /jomres/api/.htaccess, has this in it:
php_value max_input_vars 20000
php_value suhosin.get.max_vars 20000
php_value suhosin.post.max_vars 20000
php_value suhosin.request.max_vars 20000

So I removed these lines and it worked! Now, I need to see if I can get the syndicates to work.

Thanks!

Jomres2jomres will probably have problems importing tariffs if you set those input vars too low. It's likely that your server has a limit to how many input vars it'll allow. I chose 20,000 because it's a practical figure for tariff data however it doesn't surprise me that the server balked at it.

I tried going into cpanel and changing the max_input_vars, but nothing happened.
I cannot add the code to .htaccess file or it will give me a 500 error.
I tried adding the code to a php.ini file but nothing happened.
I can pass the REST API test but not the Syndication test.
I have no idea how I can make the Syndication network work for me.
I searched jomres manual for Syndication, and found some links not working. Also, nothing about Syndication test troubleshooting.
If there was more information about Syndication troubleshooting there might be more jomres clients getting on the Syndication network.

Thanks!

What are you hoping to achieve?

Connecting to the Syndication network.

Your post was about Jomres2jomres, which is different from the Syndication network.

The purpose of the syndication network is to allow you to have your properties be linked to from other sites. It doesn't allow you to download properties from other sites.

What, exactly, were you hoping to achieve?

The install error I got is this:

Error
Something went wrong when trying to unzip the archive.
Error updating component.

I even tried it just now and got the same error.

Also, see the attached image.

Have my properties be linked to/from other sites.

Setting that limit to 3000 or whatever shouldn't be a problem, for Syndication.

The newest version of Jomres has the limit much lower.

Syndication network not working...

From my webhost provider: it seems that this may be an issue with Jomres trying to reach the main syndication server and not an issue with the API. I would recommend you reach back out to the developer of this component to further troubleshoot this issue.

How do you know that syndication isn't working? If you're getting a message about not being on the network, have a look in configuration.php in /jomres and find the settings appServerRegister

If that's set to 6, set it to 0 (zero) again and then reload the page. Does that resolve it?

Also, please remember that this forum is not for support, if you'd like support please raise a ticket at https://tickets.jomres.net

No, still not working. I still get the sad face at the bottom of the Dashboard. I don't know what else I need to do. Is there anything in the Config settings I need to do?

Message: Your site is not currently listed on the Jomres App server, which is part of the syndication network.

I selected , Yes, to Join the Jomres Syndicate.

What else can I try?

Please list what could cause the Syndication network not to work.

This may be helpful down-the-road for anyone else who has this problem.

Then you will not have to always repeat yourself.

I opened the file below and found:    //'debug' => true,
/jomres/core-minicomponents/j00005register_site.class.php
I removed the // and run the script.

This is what I got below:

* Trying 185.181.124.35:443... * Connected to app.jomres.net (185.181.124.35) port 443 (#0) * ALPN, offering http/1.1 * successfully set certificate verify locations: * CAfile: /etc/pki/tls/certs/ca-bundle.crt * CApath: none * SSL connection using TLSv1.3 / TLS_AES_256_GCM_SHA384 * ALPN, server accepted to use http/1.1 * Server certificate: * subject: CN=app.jomres.net * start date: Aug 23 00:00:00 2021 GMT * expire date: Nov 21 23:59:59 2021 GMT * subjectAltName: host "app.jomres.net" matched cert's "app.jomres.net" * issuer: C=US; ST=TX; L=Houston; O=cPanel, Inc.; CN=cPanel, Inc. I am not sure what this means but I still get a sad face.

What is this forum used for?

Ask me one question at a time and I'll see if it works or not.
Or post a fix that you think might work and I'll try it. If it doesn't work we can try something else.
I'm still talking about the Syndication network not working for me.

If it's not working for you then I need to log into your site to check it. Naturally neither of us wants you to publicly post your site's login details here, ergo I need you to raise a ticket because you can safely send authentication details via the ticket system.

Naturally you are assuming that I will give you access to my site. I don't think so.

If you are not interested in posting solutions for fixing this problem then there is no more need to use Jomres.

After all, this is NOT a Community Forum! This is VINCE'S FORUM!

Vince always want you to raise a ticket!

So why does Vince has this forum?
